We are now happy to bring infrared capabilities to these small action cameras for general outdoor and drone use. In this service, we can convert the cameras to infrared, full spectrum, or NDVI agricultural filters.
We have several filter options to choose from! All conversions include a professional focus recalibration to infinity.
We are fully equipped to handle custom requests and large quantity orders.
Infrared Video White Balance: GoPro does not not support custom white balancing. As such when shooting compressed video with infrared bandpass filters e.g. 590nm, 720nm; we recommend setting the white balance kelvin value to the lowest setting. This will bring the colors closer to a theoretically correct infrared white balance. Further color adjustments in editing software can be made to match the appearance of true custom white balanced video. You can drag and drop LUTs from this LUT pack onto footage in editing software to speed up this process.

I’ve been using Kolari’s converted GoPro for about three months now. It is the first time to ever use an action camera of any sort, so the initial learning curve was a bit steep. Especially in regards to stabilisation. Of course the newer GoPros will be better in this regard but I ended up getting a gimbal to go with the GoPro and am loving the combination! Another thing is post processing. It is different processing raw files of photos compared to video and it is this point I’m still learning. For 720nm and 850nm filters you can switch to black and white. For the other filters like 550nm, well I haven’t tried colour swapping yet (something to look into). I did order a custom made IR Chrome filter for my GoPro and I recommend anyone else who gets this GoPro do the same. It looks great!
